Good Friday we set up a tent in the parking lot and had special music and mini messages highlighting the birth, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. This is the Matthew children singing "Emmanuel". Cindy sang, "Via Dolorosa", "Arise My Love", and more. I sang, "In The Garden", "My Redeemer Lives", and more. We had 25 to 30 people there.

Easter Sunday meant break out the suits and pretty dresses!

About us

My husband and I met, fell in love and married when I was 19 years old! It was the beginning of an adventure together with God that would take us down many roads. The roads were not always smooth but we walked them together. Sometimes we couldn't see where we were going but together we took the next step and the next step placing our faith in God! My husband worked full time and finished Bible school! I spent my time caring for 3 very active children. We sang together, we did bus ministry together, and had bible studies with teens together. My husband was the assistant pastor, song leader, outreach director and School administrator. We start 2 schools and taught our own children plus many many more. We opened our homes and doors to all who had a need. We had a single mom with 4 children live with is for almost a year! We pioneered churches together.

These are not notches in our belt of christianity, nor was it some kind of works program. It was simple the roads that God led us down.

Our three children grew and spread their wings. Probably the hardest part of parenting for me was letting them trip, fall, and then fly, but they needed to find their own roads! How I missed them. How we missed them. Our oldest son, Jacob, was taken from this earth to God's arms at the young age of 24. Now we wept together. We grieved together! We grew in grace together.

Then in 2006 God introduced us to a new road. One that we thought we would never walk on again. He gave us a son in our older years! He gave us Micah! We sang together and praised God together! We trusted together and we celebrated together!

We were joyful in our marriage together! We were ready to sit back and enjoy watching others discover their roads, but God had other plans. He had yet another road for us to travel. It was the mission field! So we sold all our belongings, hugged our daughters good by and moved to Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico! We have never regretted nor ever looked back! We have been here One year and are loving God's plan. May we never get old and tired of each other or God! May we continue to be open to new roads together with God until we take our last breathe! God is good! We are blessed! We are happy to be us!
