We have just spent 5 days with the Matthews family and the body in Puerto Rico. We got to see precious friends and meet many new friends. God was there in the midst and the fellowship was sweet. If we had any doubts (and we did not) as to our call to Puerto Rico, we certainly did not after our visit. God spoke loud and clear. The church in Cabo Rojo is thriving. There are new visitors every week, outreach is fruitful, and Bible school classes are going strong. What impressed me the most this visit was Pastor Julian's heart for the people and the island! He spent a lot of time traveling around looking for a house for us to rent, and he knew everyone. He would holler "stop I know them" from the back seat and as we stopped he would jump out with a booming "hello my bruther!" There would be laughing and hugging and kissing, as he loved the person or persons up! He always imparted God's love and wisdom before we left and he always left them with a warm invite to church. As we drove around doing this over and over, his wife was at home teaching all five Matthew children plus one of the church family's children. I witnessed Cindy homeschooling and she is an amazing teacher. The children are in the Word daily and getting an awesome education. I can't say enough about this family! They live on a shoe string financially, but are living richly in Christ's love and abundance!
Our goal was to find a home, and find one we did. It is amazing. We will be living in the bottom part of a duplex in Cabo Rojo. The couple that own the house live upstairs. They are members of our church. The house is perfect for us! I will post pictures soon but just go to www.casacaborojo.com. That is where we will live! They are sweet people and we are blessed!
Please continue to pray for our move. Most specifically our support and finances to move!
