"The call"
In November of 2008, my husband was invited to go on a trip to visit our church in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico. He went with a small group of men to build up and serve the Pastor and his family that were living and ministering in this Puerto Rican town. He went with no expectations. Neither of us thought that this was anything more that just a chance to visit a missionary family. But it proved to be much more. It was the planting of a seed. My husband had never met Pastor Julian Matthew or his family, but their hearts were knit together immediately, as only God can do. The visit was sweet and my husband came home with the seed of a call planted in his heart. We made plans to go visit together. In April of 2009, we flew to Cabo Rojo. Satan did everything possible to discourage me before we even got there, but he failed. We spent our week handing out tracts, soul winning, knocking on doors, praying with people, laughing, crying, and our hearts were knit with the people of Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico. God had planted that same seed in my heart. We knew that God was calling us to this place, to these people, to this missionary family. As we talked and prayed together, God watered that seed and it began to grow into a call, and as we took up the call God began to unfold His vision...........
